Silvia Marchionni, MD
Born in Pesaro on 21/03/1952.
Graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1979 and specialised in odontostomatology in 1982. She has dedicated herself exclusively to orthodontics, attending courses and conventions in Italy and specialising abroad by attending several stages and following some of the most important international experts:
- in 1989 Usa in Scottsdale with Prof. Richard Ricketts one of the most important representatives of modern orthodontics and father of the technique bearing his name;
- in 1990 in Denmark at Aarhus at the department of orthodontics of the Royal Dental College managed by Dr. Birte Melsen scholar and researcher of biomechanics;
- in France:
- in 1991 in Bievre at the practise of Dr. Alain Fontanelle specialist in lingual orthodontics
- in 1992 in Paris at the practise of Dr Didier Fillion specialist in lingual orthodontics,
- in 1993 /1994 / 1995 in Perpignan at the practise of Dr Michel Clauzade specialist in problems of the temporal-mandibular articulation and occlusodontics.
- in 2003/2004/2005 at Montpellier at the practise of the Doctors Rodrigue Mathieu and Michel Montand, creators of the Dentosophie and of the correlated myofunctional therapy,
She has always tried to study the stomatognathic apparatus inserted in a broader context: the body system analysing the correlation between malocclusions, dysfunction’s of the temporal-mandibular articulation and postural ailments by carrying out 2300 postural tests and 400 kinetographic tests. This vast documentation has confirmed the aesthetic and functional improvements of the treated patients.
